Events



Our school is centered around various events and productions that occur throughout the year. Below is a list, short explanation and links to some of our biggest events and productions.

Entrance Ceremony: All of our new students are officially welcomed into our school.

Spring Picnic: The Spring Picnic is the first official outing of the year. It is a family outing that the whole family takes part in. Everyone is introduced to each other and has a great time.

Easter: Is an all day event in which our students participate in Easter egg hunts, Egg pinatas and are entertained by a visit form the Easter Bunny.

Tanabata: "The Star Festival" is a famous festival in Japan, our students write their wish on a piece of paper and tie it to a bamboo sprig. After doing this they decorate the sprig with various colors of paper stars and other shapes.

Sports Day: Is an all day event where the parents and children get together and run races, dance dances, play games, it is a great day for the child and parent alike.

Penny Carnival: Is an indoor carnival with lots of games, activities, and prizes held for all the students

Halloween: All of the students dress up in costumes and go "trick or treating" down main street.

Thanksgiving: The students learn about the first Thanksgiving and the importance of sharing and working together. To this end, all of the students work together to make their lunch for Thanksgiving.

Christmas Party: At the Christmas party the students serenade the parents with the Christmas carols that they have learned, then there are group games and much, much more. Everyone develops a hearty appetite after participating in all the activities so there is a potluck dinner.

Talent Show: Is the biggest production of the year the students practice very hard to learn songs, dances skits and plays. Most people are truly surprised when they see the performance the children put on.

Farewell Picnic: All of the students, staff and student's parents go on a picnic and just kind of hang out.

Graduation Ceremony: Is both a sad and proud day for us here at our school. A day when our children officially leave our school and go on to elementary school leaving our staff with mixed feelings of happiness, sadness, and pride of our students and their accomplishments.
